When can I enter my rental unit?
Answer: Whenever permitted under the terms of the signed lease and anytime in an emergency situation. An emergency situation will include circumstances of imminent danger to any person or to the property. A civil assist from the local police may be requested, if appropriate. However, there is no automatic right to enter under Colorado law; it has to be in the lease.
Regarding properties in Jefferson County: the Jefferson County Court will set initial court dates in eviction cases only on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings this month.
